today i couldn't be happier.
jeff matched into his #1 md ophthalmology residency program!!! ...which means that soon i am going to be a southern girl. :)
last night jeff received what could have very possibly been the best phone call of his life. the program director for the ophthalmology residency program in little rock, arkansas called jeff to let him know that he matched into their program! today is actually the official match day and when he will officially get the good news, but the program director called to personally let jeff know last night.
we both started jumping up and down, screaming like little kids when he got off the phone. and jeff just kept saying all night, "i really can't believe it." finally all the hard work paid off and our prayers have been answered. and no one could be more deserving than this soon to be dashing, ophthalmologist:
we couldn't be happier and are so grateful. this is a huge blessing that takes such a heavy load off of our shoulders. no more stress and worrying about matching. ah, it's a wonderful feeling. yes it is.
arkansas, here we come!
