random tid bits

so i realize the ultrasound picture from my last post is difficult to interpret. i've had people tell me it is confusing. forgive me for not explaining. if any of you care or want to be able to see what i see, it's like we are looking up at her little bum with her legs straddled. her bum is on the right, legs open to the left. ok, not that any of you care but if you do, hope that helps.

now that we know the gender, its more exciting and slightly more real. and a lot of new things have been on my mind...

fabric. (for bedding.) too bad i don't have a sewing machine.

cribs.

jeff says that it still hasn't really sunk in yet and truthfully, i agree with him on most days. it doesn't seem real. but i have felt tiny movements within the past week. :) it is awesome, weird and fun all at the same time and i love it.

so the rest of this post i'm posting pictures way back from july since i never got around to doing that and i still kind of want to... so i apologize.

way back in july i was husband-less and my sister shelby came for a short weekend visit. my parents were out of town leaving her home alone like me, so they decided to send her down here so neither one of us would be alone. :) i was so happy! it was so much fun and good sister time.

we went to a diamondbacks baseball game and even though the bubble was around the stadium with air conditioning, we were still hot and sticky. but grateful nonetheless to not be outside in the unbearable heat for a little while.

we also went to frank lloyd wright's house in the disgusting heat. i think it was about 117 on that day and we both wanted to die because the tour is outside in the middle of the day. here is chubbs on the tour.



a friend told me about cerreta's in downtown glendale. they have free tours where you get to try all of the samples of chocolates which was delicious and wonderful. i am cheesing it and shelby has her mouth open because the cute old man who worked there made us laugh while taking the picture. very cute, fun place.

and last but not least, we made a trip to the wonderful sprinkles.

the end of july jeff and i were able to go home for jay and alyssa's wedding. it was so much fun because numero uno: i hadn't seen my husband in three weeks and numero dos: being with family never gets old. especially at weddings.

it was such a beautiful wedding and of course i took about two pictures. but here are some of the beautiful couple and at the reception:

my family came to the reception and jenna had to hold fox's hand. it was so adorable.

in between jeff's rotations, we were able to spend a little bit of time together before he left for yet another rotation and before my internship started. we decided that we needed to take a trip to the grand canyon while we lived in arizona. it was a lot of fun and these pictures don't do it justice.

there really are no words to describe how vast and breath taking it is. it is huge!

we went on a short hike, too. it was very cloudy and overcast, but perfect temperature and still so beautiful.

and ok, fine. some of you are getting your request... for those of you who do not live by me, here are a couple pictures of the "bump".

i've been reading that in the next couple of weeks, the baby really grows quite a bit, almost doubling in size so i'm sure i will be growing more rapidly. we shall see...
