so i know that we are half way through january and the holidays are well over now, but i decided what the heck i'll post some pictures from our holiday break! it's just taken me a while to finally get back on a schedule i guess.
my sister jaclyn came and visited right after new year's, and we didn't even take any pictures! i know we're lame. but we had so much fun spending the weekend with her! we went shopping, out to eat, to a movie, more shopping, and of course we had sunday dinner at sean and siri's. we always switch off sundays and they were so nice to have all of us over! it was nice to have a visitor come see us. sorry it rained almost the entire time you were here, jaclyn... but i guess it was better than being in the snow storm in utah! we saw pictures of the 2 feet of snow, i couldn't believe it! it was a beautiful day today here in phoenix, maybe a high of 67? mmm... i loved it:)
before we went home, we did some festive activities with friends. we went to the mesa temple and saw the lights, and we also went to "zoo lights" at the phoenix zoo. i had no idea that "zoo lights" even existed. but apparently it's a pretty big deal down here. our friends rhett and sara, tried to go the day after thanksgiving but it was so crowded they left. so we got to go back with them on a less crowded day. both the temple lights and zoo lights were amazing and alot of fun to see!
christmas and new year's in utah were wonderful. we were spoiled by family and we definitely had a white christmas this year; which was nice to get a taste of winter and switch it up. it was just what i needed and just enough. now i'm loving the spring weather down here! "it's not too hot, not too cold. all you need is a light jacket." :) it was weird not to have erin and matt home with us. however, we did open presents with them on the web cam! thank goodness for technology these days! we also had alot of family parties and got to spend time with friends too. although i love the christmas parties, i felt like i didn't get alot of actual family time so i was sad to leave when the break was over. (then again, when am i not sad to leave family?) but on the flip side, it was also nice to get back to things in arizona and i think i was ready for the christmas holiday to be over and start the new year. thanks again to family for such a memorable christmas! we are so blessed. we love and miss you, but hope everyone is doing well and enjoying the new year so far!
sorry some pictures aren't rotated...
