spur of the moment

two reasons this post has been put on the back burner:

1. 25 credits is way too many and i think i just might pull my hair out

2. i'm a horrible, forgetful photographer who always depends on others for pictures

one of my friends at school told me that i was way overdue and that it was time for an update on the blog. my apologies. 25 credits is definitely insane and i'm obviously not having any trouble keeping on top of things... yeah right. i may be a tad too busy and i'm exceptionally anxious for this semester to end. minus the fact that i won't get to see my friends at school every day anymore. :( sad.

my mother had pictures on her camera that i've been waiting to get from her. of course, right after she uploaded the pictures to the computer and deleted them off her camera (which she never does), their computer decided to crash. that's right. it's been a mess for my parents and they've been without a computer for a couple weeks. thankfully, they were able to get all of the pictures back, along with most of their other documents. so make sure you back up your computer so this doesn't happen to you!

so spring break was over a month ago and i can't believe it's been that long! i didn't have anything planned but to enjoy my time off from school, go to the pool, organize some things and maybe do some homework. i had been hoping (maybe dreaming) that i could go visit my sister who lives in manhattan, but airfares were a little expensive.

the wednesday before spring break jet blue had a sale on their airfares for $99 one way, but the sale lasted only until 11 pm that night. the next thing i know, my mom, sister and i are all booking flights to nyc for next tuesday, less than a week away! i was so lucky it was during spring break, otherwise i wouldn't have been able to go. it was so spur of the moment and exciting! i've never done anything like that before. thank you for pulling through this time jet blue! (see here for last year's jet blue disaster) it didn't really hit me that i was leaving so soon until about the day before. it was so fun because there was never a count down, just "ok, see you next week!" if you ever get the chance to plan a trip this way, i highly recommend it!

keeping my spur of the moment theme here, i up and decided to get a hair cut. the day before i left for new york, i chopped my long locks! most of you have seen me by now and this isn't news to you, but it is still growing on me and somedays i'm still not quite used to it. i think i cut somewhere around 6-8 inches, so it is definitely a big change for me. i made jeff take a before picture of me the night before to see the difference:

before...

after...

what do you think??

well i love nyc!! it was such a blast and i hope i can go back! we did lots of fun things. between my mom, sister and i, we all arrived at different times which wasn't really that convenient or economically friendly since we all payed a fortune for seperate cab rides to get to my sister's. i think our cab rides just to and from the airport cost more than our airfare... oh well. so we had to cram all the good stuff and things we wanted to do together until the last two days i was there. it was a fun girls trip even though we were missing a sister. :(
