i've been tagged...dang it!

unfortunately, i've been tagged by several people now. siri originally tagged me quite a while ago and i've been so dang busy with school and work, that i'm just barely getting around to it (sorry siri!). sara, consider this my response to your tag as well! i don't usually do these too often, but i love reading other people's. i can't seem to figure out what it is exactly that i don't like about doing these for myself! anyway, here are 7 things that you may or may not know about me:

  1. i was born and raised in utah. i grew up in good ol' north ogden, and jeff i and made quite the move to ogden utah for about the first year of our marriage. we lived in the 'ghetto' on 16th street, but i loved our first home and have lots of memories from that house. it was jeff's grandparents' old home, with a big orchard that he used to work on with his grandpa. it was also his parent's home when they were first married, so it had alot of sentimental meaning. since then, we've made a bigger move to glendale, arizona where we currently live. we've been here just over one year. crazy!
  2. i come from a family of all girls. (except for dad, of course:) i have 3 sisters who are my very best friends. i think moving away from home has increased my appreciation and love for them, and of course, all of my family and friends. i am so lucky to have them in my life and don't know what i would do without them.
  3. i love to exercise. i am currently in school and working toward my major from asu in exercise and wellness. i am also teaching kick boxing and just recently started teaching club boxing (the one where you punch the bags), and i love it! i have been team teaching club boxing with my boss for the past few weeks, and just taught my first entire class by myself! i was so excited. i always tell jeff, i wish teaching was all i did. it hardly makes a dent in our income, but i love the way it makes me feel! i hope someday i have the time to teach more classes.
  4. when i was in first grade, i broke my right thumb. ok, i think maybe it was just a fracture, but it was pretty traumatic! i had a pretty funny cast, which made writing tricky (even if i was in the first grade!) my best friend shanny and i were racing to the stop sign on our bikes and collided. her grandma lived across the street, and i still remember her running out of her house wondering what happened. then shanny's mom came and carried me back to the house. they were so sweet:)
  5. i know this is so cheesy, but i love cheerleading... and miss it sometimes! i cheered in high school and college (and of course jr. high). however, as much as i loved cheering, i don't miss the time commitment. it was tough balancing everything sometimes. i think especially our first year of marriage. but there's nothing like tumbling and stunting, or watching it of course! it's just a natural high! i also have so many lasting friendships and fun memories that i'll never forget.
  6. it doesn't take much to make me cry, or maybe my little tear ducts are slightly overactive. but you can count on me to shed a few tears at any type of good bye's or during any sappy movies. those of you who know me well, can confirm this. i'm 'tender hearted' as my family would say. if you asked them, they would tell you i feel bad when i see road kill. and it's true, i can't help it!
  7. i love to travel. it's so fun to go somewhere new and learn about different cultures. i haven't been too many places, but hope to be able to travel more in the future. a few of my favorites that i've been lucky enough to visit are hawaii, london, and japan.

since just about every one of my blogger friends has been tagged, i'm not tagging anyone! plus, since these usually aren't my favorite thing do, i don't want anyone to feel obligated. however, if you are reading this and would like to share some things about yourself, consider yourself tagged! i would love to find out more about you!

sorry to make you feel a obligated to do the tag, i usually hate them too, but for some reason i wanted to do this one. weird. even though i hate doing them, i love hearing everyone's answers. so it is totally worth it to me to get to know my friends more and i'm super glad that you've done it!! i've totally been a "tender heart" lately too. what is up with that? i've been so emotional with everything. it must be finals time or something. :) i sure as heck miss ya and hope that i can see you sometime soon. are you coming up for christmas time? good luck with school and finals! i hate this time of school! it gives me such anxiety because of my stupid procrastination habit!! blah!

Hey Hilary!!! Do you remember me? I worked at Coleman's with you. :) Somehow I have found all sorts of blogs that I didn't know existed and I have found my way to yours. :) How are you doing? How's Arizona? It's crazy how fast time flies. I remember when you were dating Jeff. Do you miss Coleman's? ;)

Hey, change your settings on your blog so you can get comments from non-blogspot users. My blog is wordpress, not blogspot. I'll still see if it will let me comment with my gmail address. Anyway, I'll have to bookmark your blog and check back often. :) I had a little baby girl 2 months ago and I like to read blogs when she's napping. :)

i love tender hearts. i admit i can be a bit of one myself ... especially when there's any amount of extra hormone being pumped through my bloodstream.
